March Break Camp Program Activities Outline
9:00 - Attendance, Student Breakfast, Snack Program Available Cafeteria
We are aware of the impact nutrition and its link to academic learning, student behavior, attention, and achievement. Therefore, our goal is to make sure all participants are provided enough nutrition to fuel their learning.
Breakfast will consist of awareness of nutritional facts. Food groups will be adhered to meet student food nutritional needs.
9:30 - Student Orientation of the Device and software
Students will be trained by counselors how to use VR devices: Reading levels will be assessed for students' learning level.
10:00- Virtual Literacy Education Primary (Grades 1-3) Classroom 1
Students will read and navigate through various historical periods while they interact and learn in a 3-dimensional view of the period in history and geographical locations they are learning about.
Wellbeing and Wellness Junior (Grades 4-6) Gym
Instructors will describe health instruction on the human body and motion thru the execution of different sport activities. Focus on the numerical value in transforming your body
Virtual Math Education Intermediate (Grades 7-8) Classroom 2
Students will read and navigate through various historical periods while they interact and learn in a 3-dimensional view of the period in history and geographical locations they are learning about.
11:00- Instruction Visual Arts Junior (Grades 4-6) Classroom 1
Students will learn to create and interpret their artistic expression through various media.
Instruction Drama Intermediate (Grades 7-8) Classroom 3
Students will engage in drama performing, with writing dialog and roles.
12:00 - Nutrition lunch Preparation
Students will be given lunch, laid out by nutritional selection groups.
1:00 - Wellbeing and Wellness (All group) - Gym
Instructors will describe health instruction on the human body and exhibit examples in motion and execution of different sport activities.
Focus on the tracking of numerical values of reps used in transforming their body
2:00 - Virtual Science Education Intermediate (Grades 7-8) Classroom 3
Students will read and navigate through various historical periods while they interact and learn in a 3-dimensional view of the period in history and geographical locations they are learning about.
Instruction Arts Junior (Grades 4-6) Classroom 1
Students will learn how to create digital art the software application
VR Historical/Geography Primary (Grades 1-3) Classroom 2
Students will read and navigate through various environments while they interact and learn in a 3-dimensional view of the scientific subject they are learning about.
3:00 - VR Independent learning Intermediate (Grades 7-8) Classroom 3
Students will be encouraged to explore their virtual environment to enhance their learning in area of interest
VR Independent learning Junior (Grades 4-6) Classroom 1
Students will be encouraged to explore their virtual environment to enhance their learning in area of interest
VR Independent learning Primary (Grades 1-3) Classroom 2
Students will be encouraged to explore their virtual environment to enhance their learning in area of interest
4:00 - Wellness communication ( Speakers )
Students will have the opportunity to review their day with tutors, counselor and peers in a communication and restorative circle session
4:30 - Day end and attendance taken student are picked up
Attendance and Dismissal process will be in place and students will be check of and pickup up by the parents or caregivers
4:45 -5:00 Counsellor and Staff check in / check out
Staff will have opportunity to give feedback and suggestion base on days observation
