Our goal is to create a village community where every child reaches their full potential.
The Ubuntu Village programs provide an active outlet for youth in lower income communities throughout the GTA and surrounding area by providing inclusive Summer Camps, March Break and After-School programs in centralized locations across the city.
Through partnership with the TSDB, and Focused on Youth initiative (FOYT) we have provided free camps and care for over 10,000 youth in the 39th and 40th wards of the Scarborough area over the last 14 years. With camp locations averaging roughly 700+ campers each summer, “The Ubuntu Village” non-profit has provided an active lifestyle and place of community and inspiration for families over the past fourteen years.
The overarching goal of The Ubuntu Village Corp. is to broaden our scope as it has now proven to be very successful in the areas we have serviced over the years. With many of our former volunteers and staff moving onto higher education and becoming trailblazers within the community, while advocating the fundamental importance of being influential to the upcoming generation.
Broadening the scope and impacting more families with inclusive and accessible programs; we hope to change the culture of communities around the GTA and surrounding areas by developing a prosperous future generation of youth and families that understand the social responsibility we have as Canadians. Uniting people of all walks of life and creating a “The village that focuses on humanity towards others within the community”.
Mission Statement
The Ubuntu Village is founded on the principles of cultivating a compassionate and unified
community, who’s pillars align with the understanding that, “it takes a Village
to raise a child.”
Vision Statement
Create a Village community where every child has an equal opportunity to reach their full
potential in all walks of life.
